The Glenfiddich Distillery is located on the A941, half a mile north of Dufftown. The area is known for its Malt Whisky Trail, situated in the Highland, Scotland, 3 - 4 hour drive from Edinburg.

Distillery tour is open all year unlike other distilleries in the area except Christmas and New Year holidays. Parties of more than 12 people are welcome but should make an arrangement in advance.

Since William Grant started the family business in the late 1800s, distillery is still owned and managed by the Grant family today.

Glenfiddich distillery is one of the best looking distilleries in Speyside that welcome visitors from all over the world. Distillery tour begins with threatre presentation, explaining the history of Grant family and Scotch whisky in general. Presentation is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. Mash House shows the two essential ingredients of making Scotch whisky - malted barley and national highland water from the Robbie Dhu Springs near the distillery. Mixture of malted barley and water goes into a large wooden "washback" in the Tun Room for fermentation. In the Still House, whiskey is distilled twice in copper pot stills. Distilled spirits are then filled into American oak casks for maturation for many years in warehouses.

What makes Glenfiddich distillery different from other single malt distilleries in highland is their bottling facility. Usually bottling is done away from distilleries for convenience, however Glenfiddich insists of doing everything on their own. Bottling at the distillery site allows them to use the same pure highland water from the Robbie Dhu Spring to cut the mature whisky just prior to bottling.

At the end of the tour, visitors enjoy free tasting of 12 yo Glenfiddich Special Reserve, Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 yo and Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve 18 yo.
