Bruichladdich Distillery
Islay, Scotland Port Ellen Maltings provides the majority of malted barley ingredient on Islay. The barley is then malted in order to get the sugar, which is then converted into alcohol by adding yeast. Germinated barley will be heated by coal, oil or peat fires, which gives the signature smoky taste. Then the malted barley will be delivered to the Bruichladdich distillery. < Previous Photo | Next Photo > |
