The first and the only museum dedicated to the history of American cocktails is open in New Orlean - the birthplace of many classic cocktails including Sazerac, Ramos Gin Fizz and Hurricane. The exhibition is located on the second floor of the historic New Orleans Pharmacy Museum in the heart of French Quarter. The exhibition shows a close up view of over two hundred years of American cocktails. Artifacts include vintage cocktail shakers, American prohibition-era literature and music, antique barware and memorabilia.
