GEORGE NELSON
(1904-1986) - While working at Herman Miller as a director of design, he recruited other seminal modern designers including Charles Eames and Isamu Noguchi.
MARCEL BREUER
(1902-1981) - Drawing upon the images of "shiny and impeccable lines in space," Breuer designed his famous Wassilly chair in 1927.
