Each bar also has its own way of making cocktails. For instance, Cosmopolitan contains Citron Vodka, Cointreau with splash of Lime Juice and Cranberry Juice according to ABC Bartending School. However many bars serve their Cosmopolian differently.
Whose recipe is the right one? "There is no
right and wrong, it depends on the house," says Mick. Some bar managers may tell you to pour an
Amaretto Sour into a rocks glass as we use a highball glass. Some may shake a dry Martini just to entertain a customer instead of stirring. "
"Things change. Gin used to be the most popular liquor in the United States. Now Vodka has beaten Gin. Some may say that Martini is no longer the most popular cocktail. Many Margarita bars were established in the last decade or so, due to the increasing number of Mexican immigrants in the U.S."
