The Final Exam

speed bartending Before the exam, students practiced the speed bartending at the bar. Some were going through their index cards to memorize the recipes.

All students are required to take both the practical and written exam at the end of the program, whether it's a week long program or 2-week program.

Written exam requires students to fill out 20 cocktail recipes. It also asks to list call and premium liquor brands. Students also must describe certain bar terms. It takes from 45 minutes to an hour to complete the written exam.

Practical exam requires students to mix 14 cocktails in 7 minutes. When mixing, instructors will check the amount, ingredients and garnish for each drink.

note Overall the exam was not easy, however most students finished with good score.
