Joe Parrilli bartends at newly opened Michael Mina's Clock Bar at Westin Hotel (335 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94102). Mina Group is a San Francisco-based restaurant management company specializing in operating high-end, innovative restaurant and bar concepts.
Born in Monterey, California, Parrilli also spent time growing up in Chicago, where his parents are originally from. Chicago is also where he got the first restaurant job working in the kitchen at Spiaggia (980 N Michigan Ave Chicago, IL 60611).
After high school, Perrilli moved back to California, and continued working at various restaurants in the kitchen for several years in San Francisco. One day his bartender colleague moved him to the bar from the kitchen because she thought his personality works better with customers. Since then, he spent 17 years tending bars and he says he still loves going to work, talking with customers and creating new drinks. Please join him at the Clock Bar at Westin to try some of his concoctions. The Clock Bar is open daily from 4PM until 2AM.
1/2 oz MARIE BRIZARD ANISETTE
1/2 oz MARIE BRIZARD PARFAIT AMOUR
1 1/2 oz Sobieski Vodka
1 oz gin
1/2 oz Lillet Blanc
Garnish: Star Anise
Shake Marie Brizard Anisette, Sobieski vodka, gin and Lillet in an ice filled cocktail shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Sink Marie Brizard Parfait Amour in bottom of the glass. Float star anise on top.
1 1/2 oz MARIE BRIZARD PARFAIT AMOUR
1 oz La Pinta Pomegranate Tequila
1/2 oz white peach puree
1/2 oz Hanger One Mandrin Orange Vodka
Garnish: fresh berries and mint sprig
Shake Marie Brizard Parfait Amour, peach puree, Sobieski vodka in an ice filled cocktail shaker. Strain over fresh ice in a tall glass. Top off with sparking lemonade and garnish with berries and mint sprig.
